Folks, we haven't done this thread in a while - let's see your images of birdnuts in action!
Please post only those photos that aren't posted at PBPF yet. Don't post photos that aren't yours, nor those that might be "embarassing" to fellow birdnuts (like my and Bobby K.'s Olango pics in our birthday suits ;D). A brief description of the shot would add more interest.

I'll start with a video grab of Pogito during a BIF session at Candaba last April. Note the shadow of the MKE 400 mic at Pogito's back. 5D2 + 24 1.8, f/16, ISO 320, 1/60 sec, hand held, full 1080p frame resized to 960x540

NO GUTS, NO GLORY. Marts brings his gear to deep waters to get closer to Candaba birds last April 2010. This was the same sortie when some of us got the Tundra Bean-Goose in flight. Model = Canon EOS 7D Exposure Time = 1/640" F Number = F5.6 Exposure Program = Manual ISO Speed Ratings = 400 Focal Length = 560mm

Great scene captured, Rey..... looks like you had golden light too! Here's one of Birdnut Ely while in action at John Chua's studio. We were doing a Canon Ambassador ad shoot then. I seriously doubt I got the right WB here..... tough for a color blind guy to get the skin tones right in artificial lighting! 5D2 + 100-400, 100 mm, f/4.5, 1/50 sec, ISO 3200, hand held, resized full frame And here's the print ad:

When we photographed the Brown Hawk-Owl at Hardin last February, we used a strong search light to illuminate the bird. I asked Prof. Jerry to hold a white paper so I can later choose the right color temp of the searchlight using "click WB." ;D 5D2 + 400 2.8 IS + 1.4x TC, 1/50 sec, f/4, ISO 3200 And here's the BHO that we captured:

We had tons of fun shooting Purple Needletails atop a hill in Morong, Bataan, in March 2008. Neon, with my birding buddy Arnold, flashes a 1-million watt grin after getting good BIF shots. 40D + 10-20, 20 mm, f/8, 1/13 sec, ISO 200 During the shoot, TeLyds couldn't seem to decide which BIF settings she would use. She eventually settled on manually focusing her wide macro at a preset distance and waited for the jetbird to pass nearby. She got the BIF, and she joins the exclusive Purple Needletail Society. ;D 1D2 + 400 5.6L, 400 mm, f/5.6, 1/400, ISO 400 And the object of our attention atop the hill:

BEFORE WILDBIRDNUTHOOD. Before I started shooting wild birds, I had much fun exploring the capabilities of the first affordable DSLR - the 300D. Here, we were practicing at Manila Zoo birds, photo taken on May 5, 2004. The guy in the middle shooting a 300D + Sigma 70-200 2.8 is Regie "Tekgik" Fernando who would later found PiPho. At extreme right is writer-photographer Bobby Timonera with a 300D + 17-40 f/4L. I think I was using a Tokina 80-400 5.6 here. Casio QV5700, 1/109 sec, f/4, 34 mm

It's always nice to see fellow birdnuts in their natural habitat. Here's my share. Alain and Bert strike a "candid" in-action pose as I take a photo of the duo. I had to move back to fit them in the frame, and I had to shoot on lower ground, thus showing the OOF blades of grass in the foreground. Taken in Anvaya Cove.
