These are photos taken at different places in Candaba. It was a very hot day - this was one of the most tiring day trips that I've ever had but like any other birdnut .... I'd do it again and again ;D Black-Crowned Night-HeronChinese Pond Heron (saw 3 of these in one place) Oriental Pratincole (a lifer and my target bird for this trip) Complete Gallery <-- please click here

Dear Tina,
Those beautiful photos are SO sharp and perfect! Did you use any TC's for those? I can't wait to have some good light and weekend for using the 300mm f/4 IS. You an inspiration to me Tina!

Thank you so much Manny and Bindi Bindi: Thank you again so much. Yes, I did use a 2x Kenko TC for the Chinese Pond Heron and Oriental Pratincole shots. For the Black Crowned Night Heron, I used my 350D + 400mm f/5.6 lens combo.

Thanks a lot Rey ;D Sana totoo ( I hope it's true ) HahAHahhAhahAhahAHa BTW, we waited for you at the Caltex station and tried calling you last Monday for the San Juan trip. Whatever happened to you I could never be more sincere. You and the Mastah were the reason for my wonderful avian insanity. Had a miscommunication with Kuya Pitsew, anyway there's always the next sortie.

Aside from the usual well-timed and sharp shots, I can almost feel the heat. You captured the atmosphere as well!

Thanks again Rey Kuya Pitsew : Maraming salamat po (thank you very much) Ding : It was blistering hot that day but like all birdnuts... I can take anything for the love of birds ;D ;D ;D This shot shows that even the herons didn't want to stay under the sun that day. HahahahAHaHAa we were all trying our best to stay in the shade. I don't normally go to that area but this time I had to try it out because it was the only place with some shade in it.

Great series Tina and congrats on the lifer, but I love the first shot the most. The yellow flowers add a nice touch to the BG.
