From the moment we got to our first birding spot, a lot of birds already showed up and it continued on till the next day. Hope you guys get as lucky as we did. Here are some of my captures. Blue-naped Parrot40D ; 300mm f/4L IS + 2x Kenko TC ; ISO 800 ; 1/200sec ; f/6.3 Crested Myna40D ; 300mm f/4L IS + 2x Kenko TC ; ISO 800 ; 1/125sec ; f/8 Red-Crested Malkoha We were parked by the road just waiting and listening to the calls of the birds, all of a sudden 3 of these suddenly started playing on the ground right beside our car. Had to reach for the other camera since the one I was holding was way to long for this shot. It's a good thing that they stayed for a few more minutes before they started to play in the trees again.30D ; 400mm f/5.6L ; ISO 800 ; 1/125sec ; f/7.1 Unfinished gallery HERE

Super Wow, Tina. I like the colors of the BNP. The Crested Mynah is a superb shot. Bravo! The details so clear -hard on black- the background perfect!
I noticed that the birds are often threesome. Love triangle? Often 2 females with 1 male. In my garden, I have observed that with YBB, OBS and PF.
Keep them coming! I'm so aliw. te lyds

Thanks Manny and Jagey Now is that best time Jagey - the nesting bee-eaters alone is worth the trip but of course because of the fruiting trees, it would be such a treat to see the other magnificent birds too ;D

It's not only the fruiting trees, it is also the mating season. Gosh the birds in my garden are sooooo noisy. Well, they need the fruiting trees to energize for their sexciting activity.. Then sometimes you seem them carrying grass or twigs for the nest. Some birds are so healthy looking, maybe already preggy. This is the best season pala. I am not sure if this will change because of the weird weather-- but I love the weather!
