Tough job selecting this week's FBPOTW, what with the excellent captures from Mt. Polis, Mt. Kitanglad and others. I chose this series mainly because I haven't seen many good in-habitat photos of this endemic race yet. That both sexes were photographed well, plus a mating shot, make this set a home run. Big congrats, Bong!!!

Thanks so much Ka Romy for the honor! This will surely push me to strive harder in this field so that I can continue to share one of God's beautiful creations for others to appreciate. And hopefully, for people to learn to take care of our feathered friends too!

These are great captures. While I have seen and also been able to take some pics of these birds they have all been not as good as these photos. I think they were all back view with only the head facing me, certainly a far cry from these shots.
Great captures of behavior as well as very good poses. Congrats Bong!
