To my eyes, this looks like a female Anas crecca. The KG says the female is " similar to slightly larger female Garganey but lacks white eyebrow, dark line through eye and white spot at base of bill." Yes, female crecca for me. Just visible the speculum. spotting on frontal aspect of the breast and on the undertail coverts correct for the species. flank feathers are correctly colored (i.e. colors and form of the striping on the feathers themselves).
