Anyone interested to do macro photography? Why not try butterfly watching? SLR's and P/S cameras, even cell phones can be used. We need more people to document our Philippine butterflies. It is about time the predators return the favor. It has been reported very recently by some birders that Subic is teeming with butterflies, particularly at the Nabasan trail. Two years ago, we witnessed the presence of more than a thousand dragontail butterflies. It seemed phenomenal but the numerous, very lush vine which the dragontail larvae feed on explains the presence of a big population of this species, the smallest papillio. Other than dragontails, there are so many other beautiful butterflies in Nabasan trail. Good capture Nes. This is the Lamproptera meges of the Dragontail butterfly. This is the smallest of the Papillio species. We are late for the breaking out from the chrysalis of thousands of this butterfly. October is the right season.
Thank you for coming Adri, Trinket, Wency and Tina, Linda, Bob and Cynthia and you, Nestor! telyds
