I usually do my post processing with the RGB channels of my histogram always on display on my secondary monitor, so I can see if I'm already blowing a color channel. Just noticed that the histogram of this shot in sweet light (taken 4:41 pm) is as close to a textbook example as possible. ;D ;D ;D Zitting Cisticola ( Cisticola juncidis) 5D2 + 400 2.8 L IS + Canon 2x TC, f/8, ISO 200, 1/500 sec, bean bag Paralaya, Candaba wetlands, August 11, 2009 And a screen capture where the RGB histogram is superimposed on the photo:

That is a perfect example of the kind of picture that I would like to take. It is so elating to see a picture as good as this. This photo will go to my inspirational file, hoping that someday I can also take pictures as good as this. Well done Romy. Mabuhay.

Oh, I'm not callling Mr. Carpio. That's the sound of a bell, the bell! That's what we want to see, the shape a full bell of the histogram. Hehehe. (for the stat geeks, a good distribution of pixels) Like the focus indicator of some cameras (which beeps for audio aside from the visual solid dot), I wish there's an audible indicator for good exposure too. Anyway, of course the mastah don't need these type of features. ;D
