Got this in San Juan, Batangas last July 30. I am not satisfied with the color output because of the unevenness of color and brightness of the background so I decided to convert the entire picture in BW, anyway the Magpie-Robin's color is really black and white. Canon 50D 100-400mm@400 1/125 f/5.6 iso200 handheld color onsite, converted into BW in PS.

Yes, pure black, pure white or B&W birds do well in mochrome. Nice rendition, Alain.... looks like a sub-adult male with the breast spots.

This is excellent! Even if we did want to describe the robin, we would still say.. Black and White. OT. Digging for a Pied Triller now and a decent Pied Fantail
