Two superbly executed captures of this cute endemic parrot made the choice of the FBPOTW quite easy. These are among the very best photos (taken in-habitat) I've seen of this species, big congrats Rey!

Thanks a lot Mastah Romy for this recognition. It's now well worth sitting and kneeling in the mud to capture this pretty endemic. Thanks also Binot and Edu. -------------------------------------------------------------- Nothing can beat these photos in terms of detail and exposure for this species!! Well done - Rey!! Please enough of this torture, I could not bare it anymore, just barely hanging on..... Thanks a lot sir and please hang in there but don't take too long these pretty birds are eating the fruits very fast and may not last very long. I'm hoping to see some macro shots from your 600mm macro lens.

Congrats, Rey! Now this is compelling me to return to Tarlac and try my luck and exert all efforts in duplicating your feat. Ka Mastah said, "Alain, if you like to take that picture of a particular bird, you have to focus singlemindedly in getting as many pictures as you can on that bird!" I want that Guaiabero too!!!!!

Thanks a lot Ed and Alain. @alain, These birds should be there in the early morning, so go straight to the Park, you can bird later in the grassy areas going home. You might even catch them feeding which will make your photos more interesting. Don't forget to invite Idol Tins she wants to go to the Eco Park too.

Congrats Rey! I remember that you whispered at me about those Guaiabero while i'm waiting for those sunbird to show up at my spot. When Alain asked me to go with him to snipe those endemics, we already lost the opportunity since a lot of campers and picnic goers are already in the area. That's why Alain is very eager to make a comeback! hehehehehehehe........

Thanks Olan. You should go back on a weekday so there will be less campers.
