This is one tough bird to photograph, given the low light in its habitat. Congrats to Rey for bagging this beautiful Pitta, a species I haven't seen yet in the field.

Thanks a lot Mastah Romy.Yes, it's true this bird is difficult to capture because it seldom leaves the dark bushy areas in its habitat. I have to stalked this bird for days before I finally made a decent capture. It was on its way to the other side of the woods and the bird has to cross a very small clearing. That gave me the chance to shoot in adequate light to get enough shutter speed.

Go with Tina, you'll get this bird too. By the way, we saw two Red Bellied Pittas last Saturday on the way up the nursery but it's still too dark to shoot.
