Hi, my name is Rene and I'm from Puerto Rico (a small island in the Caribbean). I like to take birds shots and after that landscapes and some macros (when there are no birds ). I was browsing dpreview two days ago when I saw the link to this site, two seconds later I was reading all messages here . Thanks a lot to Romy and all his/her friends for the creation of this photography bird site. Saludos, Rene

Nice to have you join the group Rene. I just adore that beautifully captured photo of the common moorhen chicks that you posted. I'm also looking forward to seeing your other captures

We have about 16 endemic species and lot of migrant birds during the northamerican winter season. But nothing as the wonderful birds you have in your country. Saludos, René

Hi CSMALLARI,
Thanks for your comments. To take the moorhen shot I wait about half and hour under our hot sun, until the little chick decide to turn his head.
I hope to share more photos and my comments in future posts.

Hi Bob.
The Caribbean is a good place to visit. It is a little hot here but we have beautifull and outstanding beaches. We also have the only rain forest under the US Forest Service.
