Romy, most probably you can plant it in a planter, like a big decorative pot or box. Just make sure you put it on a wheeled (caster wheels) mobile platform, for ease. And you don't want it grow up to 3 meters, hehehe. Regular pruning and training will do the trick. For support, you can place a trellis behind it, natural materials will look nice.

Great shots and the 1st is my dream shot. I have the sunbirds everyday in my garden but...I have to acquire my idols' skills. The Chinese hat plant or the cup and saucer plant is actually the Holmskioldia sanguinea. This can be propagated by cuttings. This plant is named after a Danish scientist, Theodor H. Here's an old pic I took from the garden of Ixi's neighbor in Makiling Heights. You might also want to consider planting the Passion vine which I have growing wild in my backyard, pretty invasive. Backyard gardening is great! I just got a gift from my Tacloban friend Helly Asoy. It says "A garden is a thing of beauty and a job forever." True, true. happy, telyd:Ds

I will see if I have a wildling in my garden. It can also be propagated by cuttings. I will ask my helper to transfer on a pot before she goes on summer vacation. It is very invasive but if you set up a vertical trellis, or its own growth path, never towards trees or windows, it will be ok. telyd
