Welcome to the crazy world of bird photography Roland. As long as there are trees around you, there are sure to be birds other than the maya (eurasian tree sparrow) & doves. You just have to be more observant. Before you know it, you will have more than 5 species of birds around your area. May you be hooked with bird photography like us and go nuts over it ;D ;D ;D Hi I am Roland Meollo from Valenzuela City also same with Edu, the guy who introduce me here in the world of Birds Photography. Thanks for the welcome Sir. I will do your advice not only in Valenzuela but also in Sariaya Quezon at the foot of Mt. Banahaw. I think there are plenty of birds species there. Thanks for the welcome Sir... ] You mean to say Ma'am, right? ;D Welcome to the forum, and happy birding. From now on, you'll be more aware and familiar with the different species of birds that we used to ignore. And did anyone already mentioned to you that this hobby is hazardous to your bank account? ;D

Hi Roland!!!! Welcome to the wonderful world of birding..
Guys, Roland is my former officemate and we are both nikonians.
Keep your ears and eyes open as I am confident you will find more species just in your backyard. I have found of course the Eurasian Tree Sparrow, Yellow Vented Bulbuls, Brown Shrike and a rail that I have yet to identify because it always perches on our roof that is quite high.
Also, after every sortie, when "kumander" whacks your head with a frying pan.. you will see a few more birds ;D
