We had a grand time yesterday in Candaba. It was one of those rare moments where everything seemed to be perfect. The weather was fine and cool, a little overcast sometimes with just enough light for softer shadows and good highlights. So many birds kept on giving us wonderful aerial shows and there's tons of photos taken. The food was superb and there's plenty of ice cold drinks but most of all the great camaraderie with friends is what really made the day so memorable. Let me share a few of my captures. Black-Crowned Night Heron Intermediate Egret Purple Heron Thanks guys.

Nice captures, Rey... looks like the gang had a blast yesterday. Were you able to see Tina's pet (spoonbill)?

Galing! Being there myself, I actually thought one would have a hard time getting good shots like these. I wish I have had the time to have some chat and lunch with everyone. I needed, however, to take everyone of my visitors back to Manila in time for a baptismal event; we have had to leave early. I really missed everyone. Cheers!

Thanks guys. No luck on the elusive "pet" so far but we will be back with some guys from Pipho on Wednesday, we just might be lucky this time I'm sure idol Tina has her astounding BIF captures waiting to astound us once again. I don't have much of the BIF's, need more practice @marcelo You might want to come with us.

Those are very well composed shots Rey! The birds look more alive with more of the habitat showing. Well done! :-)

Woohoo!! Nice captures Rey, good composition with more of the BG environment. The sun was really hot yesterday, and exposing white subjects is quite a pain, don't know if I was able to get my exposures right. Can't PP my captures as My HDD got full , need to start deleting unwanted photos which I was too lazy to do before Always a blast when with BPB guys!! Cheers, Neon

Thanks Reyno, I wish i can say the same with my BIF's but man I never thought it was that difficult. Anyway, maybe you can come with us to Candaba sometime in the future and you can teach me how to make those fantastic BIF captures

After deleting some files I was now able to process some photos. I was testing how the Gimbal head worked with BIF. I was really happy with how it performed!! Wooohaa, the rush to go to Gamboa was well worth it!! Purple Heron ( Ardea purpurea) 40D + 300 f4 L IS + 2x Kenko TC, f10, 1/800 sec, ISO 400, hand held, manual exposure in available light, RAW: Need to delete some more files to be able to process the whole lot!! Cheers, Neon
