IT IS NOT JUST ABOUT TREES. Many people are blind. I am asking my co- members in this group who have enjoyed the wildlife in Subic to make a vigilant campaign against the clearing of wildlife habitat, even if it is not within the protected area. I am not allowed to reprint, rewrite or redistribute the article, so I am sharing the link to a recent article about the balling out of trees in Subic. I will not discuss that matter because it is so nauseating already. These people do not think of wildlife, the vegetation under the trees that feed the wildlife. I commend Architect Palafox for his stand. Just last Friday night at the ROX, visiting bird photographer CON FOLEY shared that he is happy about SUBIC for it's good vegetation, that it has been well kept. Immediate remark from Mike and some others was "maybe not for long." This article came out the morning after. Please, please, please. Don't fail to read it. www.inquirer.net/specialfeatures/theenvironmentreport/view.php?db=1&artic\le=20081129-175207 The Philippine Butterfly Habitat Conservation Society, Inc. is making a strong stand against indiscriminate clearing of not just trees but forest undergrowth as well, the home and source of food of thousands of wildlife. Those who would like to be a part of this campaign, please pm me. Maybe we can help lead the blind. for good stewardship of what God has given, Lydia
