been busy with everything these days, and I have had a chance to get out for some wild birds, so here are a few... these hawks are very skittish, and difficult to shoot, but I have found one local bird who like me! 1 ![](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y281/rammy111111/Red-tailedHawkinFlight7.jpg) 2 ![](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y281/rammy111111/Red-tailedHawk2.jpg) 3 ![](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y281/rammy111111/Red-tailedHawk2-1.jpg) 4 ![](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y281/rammy111111/Red-tailedHawk.jpg) 5 ![](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y281/rammy111111/Red-tailedHawk-1.jpg) 6 ![](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y281/rammy111111/Red-tailedHawkinFlight4-1.jpg) 7 ![](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y281/rammy111111/Kestrel5-1.jpg) 8 ![](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y281/rammy111111/MuteSwanAttacking2-1.jpg) 9 and 1 scary spider for Tina! ![](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y281/rammy111111/MariaonHalloween.jpg) thanks for looking!

Yay, a spider! ;D Ray, Maria is really growing fast. This red-tailed hawk are indeed skittish ... very sharp eyes too. I can't get near one (hey, I know my stalking skills needs help, but that's beside the point ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) ). I'm like a kilometer away, and it will fly away. All I can do were BIF shots, if I can get lucky. The kestrel shot is nice as well. Great to see your bird shots again Ray.

yes, they're aggressive too especially when tending to their young ones. ![](http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3172/2627146775_13f96dc25c_b.jpg)

I like #7 primarily for the creamy BG, balancing act of the RTH on tip of the small vertical branch. The others are equally good captures particularly the BIDs. Thanks for sharing. P.S. Cute fledgling you have there #9 ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) been busy with everything these days, and I have had a chance to get out for some wild birds, so here are a few... these hawks are very skittish, and difficult to shoot, but I have found one local bird who like me! 1 ![](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y281/rammy111111/Red-tailedHawkinFlight7.jpg) 2 ![](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y281/rammy111111/Red-tailedHawk2.jpg) 3 ![](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y281/rammy111111/Red-tailedHawk2-1.jpg) 4 ![](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y281/rammy111111/Red-tailedHawk.jpg) 5 ![](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y281/rammy111111/Red-tailedHawk-1.jpg) 6 ![](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y281/rammy111111/Red-tailedHawkinFlight4-1.jpg) 7 ![](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y281/rammy111111/Kestrel5-1.jpg) 8 ![](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y281/rammy111111/MuteSwanAttacking2-1.jpg) 9 and 1 scary spider for Tina! ![](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y281/rammy111111/MariaonHalloween.jpg) thanks for looking!

I can see the attention given to the photographer in this capture. Very sharp eyes captured well in this photo. Thanks for sharing Ed. yes, they're aggressive too especially when tending to their young ones. ![](http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3172/2627146775_13f96dc25c_b.jpg)

Wooooo Hoooooo Excellent images Ray !!!!! All of them are amazing shots !!! Maria is the ONLY spider that looks so cute and huggable ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) I hope she had a blast last halloween. I felt bad for the kids here in our village coz it was raining on and off that day. This is the only halloween where we had lots of leftover candies.

thanks everyone... great shot of the RT family, what an opportunity., some birders here would be a bit upset with you though.
Thanks Tina., Maria is doing well, smarter each day, and quite the little character!

thanks guys.., yes Ted.. they sure are tough., the secret is to find one who is friendly., about 1 in 20!! I know where one is right now if you want to come over! Hey Ray, found an area where there's lots of them. Skittish, yes. But you can approach them at a decent distance that's acceptable to them. This specific guy doesn't mind me, as he's closely watching an egret foraging nearby, then trying to steal the egret's bounty if it finds one. Thanks Marts and Ray. Actually, I'm looking for cranes. It turned out the hawk is more of a keeper than my crane shots,

Another one ... not sure if it's the same bird. Nikon D300, AF-S 300mm f/4D, TC 1.7, 500mm, 1/800s, f/9, ISO 200, handheld while leaning at the side of a vehicle (engine turned off), cropped and resized. ![](http://tedscorner.com/wildlife/pbp/RedTailedHawk_perched_crop_web2.jpg)
