Hi Guys! I'm Joel Espineli. We just moved to Antipolo City, used to stay in Pasig. I'm into shooting film, and I love photography. But I'm no expert. Since there are so many open spaces here, I've been seeing a lot of birds on my photo walks, and they have become the subject of my photos recently. But I don't have the equipment to shoot them correctly. You see I use analog cameras and toy cameras. I'm into lomo as well. Will be here to learn from the experts. And might be in the lurker mode for a while... ;D Cheers!

Welcome to PBP Joel.
Yeah, lots of nice experts here. I joined to learn as well.
Film is fine, and fun to use too. Though digital allows you to make mistakes and experiment without any costs. And you can correct exposures, necessary adjustments, etc. and be able to make another capture in no time. No waiting for developing and printing.
If you have some on prints, scan them and share it with us, would love to see them.
To learn more about digital cameras, go to dpreview.com to start.
Again, welcome aboard!

Welcome to the forum, Joel! Once you get that unique shot you'll get hooked. Yes, do browse through the boards and you'll find a tip or two.
I'm also from around Cainta-Antipolo area, We might bump into each other if you frequent the Valley Golf area.
Cheers,

By the way... the only digital thing in my bag right now is a 10 megapixel Lumix FX-36 point-and-shoot, and I love it!

No decent bird shots yet. I still need a cam with a good zoom lens, which I believe is a standard equipment. But here are some birds on the wire shots I took using my Pentax ESPIO 115G. Film used: expired Fuji Provia 100F (C41 cross-processed)

Welcome, Joel!
Like Neon, I'm also from Antipolo. Specifically, Palos Verdes. There are also lots of birds in my neighborhood. Hope you get your gear soon and I'd be happy to bird with you some weekends!

Welcome to the forum Joel. You are sure to learn a lot of things from here. I'm still learning a lot just by hanging around this place but most specially when you get to bird with these wonderful people. Thank you so much Joel for being so generous re: WBCP 4th Philippine Bird Festival. Appreciate it a lot -tina-
