UPD - Yesterday, we were waiting and waiting and waiting for the Java Sparrows to come back and pose for us but they must have decided to cancel their photoshoot appointments. There were lots of replacement volunteer photoshoot models near and in the nesting hole and at first no one seems to bother as their gears were parked and ready to take snaps. Eventually, as the JSs were no shows, the birdnuts gave in. So cge na nga ishoot na sila. Here is my best shot! Eurasian Tree Sparrow, UP Diliman Canon 50D, EF 400mm f5.6L, Manfrotto 755XB/Gimbal, 1x2 pounds "rice" bag Shot @ f5.6, 1/100", ISO320, 40% pixels wasted

UPD - Yesterday, we were waiting and waiting and waiting for the Java Sparrows to come back and pose for us but they must have decided to cancel their photoshoot appointments. Wow!! A photogenic ETS!! When I went there last I did not see the mating ritual anymore, so I guess they have finished that phase in their breeding cycle and would shortly sit and incubate the eggs. There should be a changing of sitting responsibilities but I don't know the frequency. 3 weeks from now the eggs should hatch and there should be more activity as they would start feeding the chicks, that's if they didn't abscond, which would be a sad news.

AHAH!!! So that's why the JS was not there today! hahahaha! Kidding guys! I like this ETS photo Toto, congrats. Maybe next time someone can be the designated Skyflakes eater. I hear the ETS will stop harrasing the JS and feed on skyflakes if you scatter them on the ground

Ahihihi, thank God for the ETS - when the other birds are just not there, you can count on these fellows to keep you company. :-) Excellent shot, by the way!
