Aires and I went back to San Simon yesterday to get another view of the CE and really observe it's hunting charateristics. First it hunts alone, in fact at the other end of the other egrets. if your in the site, look for the egret thats furthest away form the others and that's probably the CE. It is also a very active hunter, jumping, running, stretching it's wings. Here are some of the images of it hunting its prey. Canon 1D Mk2 Canon 300 mm f4 IS 2x TC 1/2500 f8 iso 200 1/3200 F8 iso 200 1/640 F8 iso 200 and if fly's off when other egrets go near it 1/1000 F8 iso200 Cheers Chito

I know what you mean Doc. They would all of a sudden jump out of the water and fly to another nearby spot to catch a fish or something. I was there this morning with Bong and I will try to post the pictures tonight. I don't know what kind of Egret they are but if you are right and its a Chinese Egret it will be a lifer for me. Thank you Doc. Mabuhay.
