Thanks a lot, Mastah Romy and Sir Neon! Amazing stalking skills, Mark.... who needs a longer lens if you can get this detail at 300 mm? I wish this was the case, Ka Mastah. I was actually stalking a different bird (I think it was a Grey-streaked Flycatcher, but will post later for ID) when this cute little fella perched on a branch at near point-blank distance. It was a total adrenaline rush for me. Wow!! This RKFP is larger than a real life White-throated Kingfisher!! wonderful details!! Uy!! Birthday pala ni Mark!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARK!!!Was very happy to have gotten this -- an advance birthday gift. My birding trip to the mountains the following day was not very fruitful -- on our ascent, the weather wasn't very good and it only became better when we were already on our way back. The birds were also too far for my setup. Nevertheless, I was happy to have climbed, enjoy God's wonderful creation, and come back safe. I also enjoyed the company of my local guides. Thank you for the greeting, Sir Neon.
