Sarapiqui Eco-Observatory park is a new eco-park located in the town of La Virgen in Puerto Viejo de Sarapiqui. The park is intended primarily for bird photographers and was designed by professional photographers living in Costa Rica. Compare to other eco-parks, the fee here is a bit expensive. I paid $50 for a three-hour session to use the covered area with movable feeders. Below is a sample picture of Collared Aracari that I got. 7D+400mm f/5.6L lens, ISO 800, 1/125s

Wow!!! The bird is so near, did he bite? LOL. It is expensive but if there are several kinds of birds it is worth it. What other birds did you see? Beautiful capture, beautiful colors and super sharp. Well done Ariel & Mabuhay.

Beautiful bird Ariel. The price is worth as long as it's guaranteed for you to see different kinds of birds. We sometimes travel to places just to see a one or two kinds of birds and spend more than that.

Beautiful capture, beautiful colors and super sharp. Well done Ariel & Mabuhay. Thanks Ely. Most of the birds that can be seen there are the ones we saw from Dr. Skutch's place. But my target specie there was the crimson-collared tanager which was a no-show. I was also hoping to get a better picture of the keel-billed Toucan but the bird also didn't come. For the fee, I think that the 3-hr limit is just too tight considering that birds are not always guaranteed to come.

The $50-3hr limit does not include the meal, unlike in other unlimited places where a $40 fee includes a buffet lunch.
